Grains

We are one of Australia’s largest buyers, exporters and domestic suppliers of all major commodities, including grains, oilseeds, pulses and cotton.

We buy commodities direct from local farmers, with local teams based in Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland who hold strong relationships with thousands of farmers across key growing regions.

Through our fully-integrated, global network, supported by our robust food safety and quality management processes, we are able to meet the specific needs of our customers and efficiently deliver commodities by vessel, train, bulk container and road.

Wheat and durum

Wheat is Australia’s largest winter crop by planted area. As a winter crop, planting occurs in April/May, with harvest beginning in around October/November.

Australian wheat is internationally recognised for its superior quality, distinguished by its bright white colour, low moisture and screenings content, and outstanding performance in end-use products across global markets.

Australian wheat is segregated into a range of classes, each with distinct quality characteristics that cater to specific end-use requirements. This versatility makes it well suited to use in the the manufacturing of a wide range of products, including noodles, dumplings, breads, cakes, biscuits, and pasta.

We are one of the largest suppliers of wheat globally, with the ability to consistently supply milling, durum, noodle and feed wheats in both bulk and containers. We accumulate shipments to meet our customers’ exact quality specifications.

We originate wheat and durum direct from farmers in all major production regions in Australia.

Barley

Barley is Australia’s second largest grain crop. It is a winter crop, which is planted in April/May and harvested from around October/November.

Australia produces reliable and high-quality feed and malting barley. Australia’s feed barley is well suited to animal feed applications, and the malting barley produced here is highly sought after for brewing and distilling, as well for use in malt foods such as confectionary, drinks and cereals.

Through our direct relationships with farmers, we offer access to barley suppliers in all major production regions.

We source both malting barley and feed barley and are a major supplier of feed and malting barley to all major importing markets around the world. We are able to consistently deliver barley tailored to suit a range of end users in diversified markets.

Sorghum

Sorghum is a summer grain crop grown primarily in north eastern Australia, throughout Queensland and northern New South Wales.

Depending on the region, planting occurs between September to January, and harvest between January and May.

We are an exporter of red sorghum from Australia to overseas customers for use in feed, industrial and food products. We also service domestic feed and ethanol industries.
