Bunge welcomes first delivery of the WA harvest

Bunge welcomed its first delivery for the 2026/27 Western Australian harvest into its network last week, with a load of barley from KJ Wittwer and Co. received at its Bunbury site on Tuesday 13 October.

The delivery marks the start of another exciting harvest season for Bunge’s Western Australian team, which is ready to receive grain at its Bunbury, Arthur River and Kukerin sites.

We have been working closely with farmers to understand their needs and adapting our services to provide more flexibility and streamline deliveries,” Rob Haddrill, Bunge Manager Origination Western Australia, says. “Our sites are ready to receive grain, supported by new digital services, extended opening hours and investments in canola stackers and classification labs making it easier for farmers to do business with us.”

Customers delivering to the Bunge network have access to Bunge’s digital services designed for farmers; the Bunge app, Ezigrain and bunge.com.au to see delivery information and manage their grain anywhere, anytime this harvest. These services enable them to view live site opening hours, segregations and cash pricing, receive delivery and operational notifications, view deliveries and tonnes in warehouse, and transfer grain online.

Bunge will provide 24-hour receivals at its Bunbury port from 1 November to 23 December and extend opening hours to 9pm at the Bunbury bunkers, Arthur River and Kukerin when the peak harvest period starts.

Based on farmer feedback, Bunge has invested in its canola stacker fleet and classification labs and will provide a designated lab and weighbridge for canola deliveries to Bunbury and designated lab for GM canola deliveries to Arthur River.

“We will continue to listen to farmers and adjust our services to local conditions and demand throughout harvest,” Rob says. “Farmers and carriers should check the Bunge app or bunge.com.au before delivering for extended hours or changes due to demand or weather.”

Bunge is buying grain across all five WA port zones and offers contract and payment options tailored to farmers’ business and cash flow requirements, including options for farmers with on farm storage. Farmers can contact the WA Accumulation team on 1300 453 626 to discuss prices, contracts and flexible payment options.
